For the ministry of this service is not only fully supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing through many thanksgivings to God. 2 Cor 9:12
Today G brought home the groceries for the month. Yes, the month! Since the big store where food is the cheapest is in the city and not easily accessible, we normally purchase most of our groceries at the beginning of the month and fill in from the little “tiendas”in the neighborhood.
The last couple of days, D and I have been creative in coming up with meal ideas. (D is the young lady that comes and helps in the house with cleaning – which is quite a task here. She also helps cook and eats breakfast and lunch with us.) It’s not that we didn’t have food, it’s just that we needed to be creative with what we had!
As we began putting the food away that G purchased, I stood in awe of all that God has done – through YOU.
I’m in awe…
…because our refrigerator is full
…because we have a refrigerator (your gifts!)
…because I can focus on the work of the church and ministry without a paying job
…because I’m able to invite young people from the church and invest into them
…because we’re able to bring the Katios for conferences and language learning
…because G and I can take a 2-week trip to Venezuela to equip workers in language learning
…because the people of God have been obedient to His voice in giving, praying, and encouraging, making the work of the ministry possible.
Thank you!
