“You’re in God’s handbag,” pastor William said, chuckling at his own joke. We were visiting a rural church in the small community of Mochila (translated: handbag). It’s wonderful to know that He has us in His care
Last night we had the privilege of sharing in worship and the Word with about 90 people from the community of Mochila. We spent the night in a beautiful farm house and I woke up at 4:30 to enjoy prayer in the stillness of the morning (stillness + roosters + the cat who wanted to share my coffee).
We ended up coming back to Monteria at 8, which was much earlier than we expected – and truly a gift from the Father. We were able to sleep for a good couple of hours in preparation for this evening.
After a worship practice and a baby shower, we’ll head back to Mochila for an all-night meeting. I’m not sure what the schedule will look like, but I know that Jef and I will be doing lots of worship and I’ll most likely have a chance to share from the Word.
When the service finishes at 5 am, we’ll eat breakfast and return to Monteria for our church service. It’s my last Sunday and I have the honor of leading worship and sharing my testimony and sharing from the Word.
We appreciate your prayers for grace and strength for the night, open hearts for the people, and a powerful move of God.
