“The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]” James 5:17b, AMP

This verse has really been coming to mind a lot lately.  I keep thinking about God’s power, and how He has chosen to make it available to us through prayer.  Our prayer doesn’t make God’s power any more powerful, but it does make His power at our disposal.

I get this picture of a water balloon over my head. Every time I pray, it’s as though God is turning on the faucet and filling that “power bank.”  When I need it, it is available for me to tap into… today, tomorrow, when I’m in Colombia…

The amazing thing is that God has given us the authority to fill other peoples’ balloons.  He’s clearly spoken in His Word that we are to pray for each other. making power available.

That said, I’m committing to making that power available through prayer.  Will you pray for me, too?
