I would imagine most of you have participated or created a scavenger hunt of some sort at least once or twice in your life. My earliest scavenger hunt memory is a (birthday?) part at my house as a child. We had various clues that led us around the house until we finally came to the “treasure.”

G and I had a scavenger hunt of our own yesterday. We went to DAS (Department of Security) yesterday morning because I have to register my visa within 15 days of arrival. They gave us the following slip of paper and said to return after 2:30 p.m.:

Since you may not be able to understand any of that, let me help:

Deposit $144,250 (pesos – about $80 USD) at this particular bank to this particular account number
2 copies of the deposit slip
2 copies of the main passport page
2 copies of the passport page with your most recent entry stamp
2 copies of the visa
2 copies of blood type certification
5 copies 3cmx4cm photos with blue background on matte paper

We went all around downtown gathering, copying, depositing, and getting photos. We returned home and went back right around 2:30. Unfortunately, no one said anything about having the original deposit slip and the original blood type certification. I already had those both safely stored away at home.

So… while the scavenger hunt is mostly over, we still haven’t completed the process. We should be able to take care of it on Monday… still well within the 15-day deadline.
