The adventure continues…

Yesterday, G and I left Montería at 7:00 a.m.  We arrived to Medellín just before 8, and caught an 8:30 bus to the other airport (Medellín has two airports, and only one of them does international flights).  What a bus ride that was! We sat in the back with our luggage (and because there was actually legroom) and were tossed back and forth as we climbed into the mountains to the other airport.  Thankfully, I’m not one to get motion sickness! We enjoyed talking and the absolutely beautiful view for 1.5 hours.

Arriving at the other airport, we sat and began to work on preparation of teachings.  We took a break and had coffee and talked for awhile.  We checked in to get rid of our luggage, but Security was closed until 3:00 (it was about 1:30…).  We waited around and went through Security as soon as possible. After my experience of emptying my carry-on 3 times when I left Bogota last year, I wasn’t sure how this would go.  Remarkably, it was one of the quickest security lines I’ve ever been through! Way to go, Medellín airport. 😉

We had a brief stop in Quito, Ecuador (stayed on the plane) and arrived in Lima about 8:45 p.m.  We were met by G’s parents and then met up with the rest of her family for Chifa, the infamous Peruvian Chinese food.  I enjoyed the meal and conversation, though I was half asleep for awhile!  We got home about 12:15 a.m.

I slept SO well in this 65 degree weather!  We slept in this morning and had a late breakfast.  I look forward to getting to know this family and the ministry this weekend.

Ya Llegamos a Lima
